This summer So Last Century’s Vintage Market at the Mansion is back once again at Beckenham Place Park!

With up to 50 amazing vintage traders from the south-east, and further afield, there’ll be thousands of unique things to see and buy.

Outside and inside the Mansion you’ll find mid 20th century furniture, lighting, homeware and ceramics, original posters, art, prints, books, records, antique maps and charts, brocante, salvage, plants, vintage designer fashion, accessories and lots more.

Most traders take card payments, and will deliver locally if you want to buy something big and heavy, like a dining table!

There’ll be delicious street food outside, including tasty burritos, tacos and quesadillas by Route 66, mouthwatering bao buns by You Bao, spicy naan wraps and masala fries by Bhajis LDN fantastic fish and chips by Fish My Chips excellent coffee by Big Bro Espresso and amazing brownies by Slate ‘n’ Crumb.

In addition, the excellent Mansion Bar and Cafe will be serving craft ale amongst other drinks, and some great lunchtime food.

Our resident Market band, The Alvar Treefrogs, will be joining us again with their energetic performances of New Orleans jazz from the 1920s and 30s. Find them in the afternoon, busking underneath the huge oak tree behind the Mansion!

Some of the resident artists have their studios open on the first floor. Climb the winding staircase to view and buy their work.

Call in to see our friends KnowHowYou sewing school on the Ground Floor of the Mansion and find out about the various classes and courses they have to offer, and Verso Vintage shop in the basement.

If you love food markets as well as vintage ones you’re in luck, as alongside us outside will be the wonderful Beckenham Place Park Food and Farmers’ Market - bring plenty of bags with you!

So, come along on 16th July to find loads of unusual things to buy, some great food, and enjoy the mansion beautiful park while you’re there!

Step-free entrance, and level access throughout the ground floor rooms. Dogs welcome indoors.

  • Monitoring numbers of people entering the building, to prevent overcrowding.

  • Please don’t come if you feel unwell.

Getting there:
We strongly recommend using public transport and/or walking, or cycling, to the market if at all possible, as parking is limited and expensive.

Beckenham Hill Station – 8mins walk
Beckenham Junction Station – 12mins
Ravensbourne Station – 15mins
New Beckenham Station – 19mins

By bus:
Bus – 54, 354, 320, 227, 367, 181

By car:
The car park has limited spaces. Paying to park is cashless and by the PayByPhone app only. Charges are complex and based on the emissions of your engine. If you still prefer to arrive by car we advise avoiding the busiest period (11am-2pm). Note that vehicle entry is only via the Beckenham Hill Road entrance ( Sat Nav: BR3 1SY) opposite the Church of St Augustine. If your GPS takes you elsewhere, try SE6 3PU instead, or use ///follow.skinny.fade

We recommend using the cheaper St George’s Road car park, near to Beckenham Junction Station, just a 12 minute walk away. There’s on-street parking close to the Downham entrance on Old Bromley Road (Sat Nav: BR1 4LE) and near to Ravensbourne Station, (Sat Nav: BR3 5HE). Please respect local residents and other road users, and park considerately. The Mansion is an enjoyable 15 minute stroll across the Park from both these entrances.
