Hot on the heels of our Easter event, Vintage Market at the Mansion is back at Beckenham Place Park on May Day Bank Holiday Monday
The Market will host 50 more amazing traders from London, the south east and further afield.
Inside and around the Mansion there’ll be plenty of mid 20th century furniture, lighting, homeware and ceramics, original posters, prints, books, records, antique maps and charts, French brocante, gardenalia, vintage fashion (including mens and children’s), and lots more.
Most traders take card payments, and will deliver locally if you want to buy something big, like an dining table!
There’ll be delicious street food outside, great coffee by Coffee Vantastic, and amazing brownies by Slate ‘n’ Crumb.
In addition, the excellent Mansion Bar and Cafe will be serving draft beer, hot drinks and snacks.
Call in to see our friends KnowHowYou sewing school on the Ground Floor of the Mansion and find out about the various classes and courses they have to offer, and Verso Vintage shop in the basement.
Our resident Market band, The Alvar Treefrogs, will be back with us, busking with New Orleans jazz on the grass at the back of the Mansion.
So, come along on May Day Bank Holiday Monday, and find loads of unusual things to buy, explore the mansion and enjoy the beautiful park while you’re there.

Getting there:
We strongly recommend using public transport and/or walking, or cycling to the market if at all possible, as the car park is expensive and fills up quickly.
See Lewisham Council’s website for more information on how to get to the Park.

Beckenham Hill Station – 8mins walk
Beckenham Junction Station – 12mins
Ravensbourne Station – 15mins
New Beckenham Station – 19mins

Bus – 54, 354, 320, 227, 367, 181
By car:
The car park has 110 spaces. Paying to park is cashless and by the PayByPhone app only. Charges are complex and based on the emissions of your vehicle. If you still prefer to arrive by car we advise avoiding the busiest period (11am-2pm). Note that vehicle entry is only via the Beckenham Hill Road entrance (Sat Nav: BR3 1SY) opposite the Church of St Augustine. If your GPS takes you elsewhere, try SE6 3PU instead, or use ///follow.skinny.fade
We recommend using the cheaper St George’s Road car park, near to Beckenham Junction Station, just a 12 minute walk away. Alternatively, there’s some on-street parking close to the Downham entrance on Old Bromley Road (Sat Nav: BR1 4LE) and near to Ravensbourne Station, (Sat Nav: BR3 5HE). Please respect local residents and other road users, and park considerately. The Mansion is an enjoyable 15 minute stroll across the Park from both these entrances.
