So Last Century returns to Beckenham Place Mansion, for another summer outing on August Bank Holiday Monday.

There’ll be a hand picked selection of 25+ top-quality vintage traders, in the Atrium, Drawing Room, Dining Room and outside. Expect to find mid-century decor, lighting, homeware and furnishings, vintage travel posters, prints, antique maps and etchings, brocante, clothing, accessories, jewellery, and much more.

Find delicious street food outside plus excellent coffee by Big Bro Espresso and amazing brownies by Slate ‘n’ Crumb. The Mansion Cafe and Basement Bar will also be open.

At lunchtime we’ll have live music by the superb Bleedin’ Liberties, outside at the back of the Mansion.

The resident artists will be opening their studios on the first floor where you can see their amazing work, some of which will be available to buy. Several of the artists’ studios on the the lower ground floor will also be open.

Don’t forget to check out Know How You Sewing School in their studio on the ground floor. They’re running workshops on the day, which you can pre-book. And Cigarette Records in their shop, on the lower ground floor. Owain will help you find what you’re looking for amongst the thousands of records he has in stock, and may introduce you to something you’ve never heard before!

And finally, not to be missed, is the fascinating Visitor Centre run by The Friends of Beckenham Place Park. Crammed with artefacts, maps, and documents, you can find out about the rich history of the Park.

So come along on the last Bank Holiday Monday of the year and find lots of vintage treasures, explore the mansion and enjoy the beautiful park while you’re there!

By car:
The new car park is now open, however it becomes full quite quickly. We strongly recommend using public transport and/or walking to the event wherever possible, as the single carriageway access road to the Mansion can get very congested, particularly around midday. If you do prefer to arrive by car we advise avoiding the busiest period. Note that vehicle entry is only via the Beckenham Hill Road entrance (///follow.skinny.fade Sat Nav: BR3 1SY, opposite the Church of St Augustine. If your GPS takes you elsewhere, try SE6 3PU instead).

On-street parking is available near to the Downham entrance on Old Bromley Road (Sat Nav: BR1 4LE), or near to Ravensbourne Station, (Sat Nav: BR3 5HE). Please respect local residents and park considerately. The Mansion is an enjoyable 15 minute stroll across the Park from here.

The nearest cashpoint is at Waitrose, next to Beckenham Junction Station, a 15 minute walk away, so make sure you bring plenty of cash. Although many of our traders take cards these days, not all of them do.
